Aegion Corporation has been awarded a US$6.9 million wastewater pipeline rehabilitation contract in Miami-Dade County, Florida.
The corporation’s subsidiary, Insituform Technologies, will undertake the two-year contract, which begins at the end of 2019.
Insituform anticipates it will rehabilitate more than 41.8 km of 8–36 inch (203–915 mm) diameter wastewater pipelines using cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) throughout the county.
Aegion President and CEO Charles Gordon said the company is pleased to continue to work with the county and remains committed to operational excellence without compromising safety.
“Insituform has held the annual contract for CIPP in Miami-Dade for the past four years and has completed a majority of the CIPP installation work in the area for the past five years,” he said.
The contract includes a renewable option for an additional two years on an annual basis.
