Sancon awarded rehabilitation contract

The Fallbrook Public Utility District (FPUD) has awarded Sancon Technologies a contract for the rehabilitation and relining of manholes.

According to Village News, Sancon will rehabilitate 22 manholes and 1 wet well following the approval of its US$78,787 bid by the FPUD board.

FPUD’s capital improvement program includes improving the district’s sewer system reliability through rehabilitation of existing infrastructure.

The works comprise structural repairs and corrosion-resistant relining, which will restore the failing manholes to an ideal condition, with FPUD General Manager Jack Bebee adding that the rehabilitation will extend the life of the manholes without the need to replace them.

FPUD’s 2019–20 budget allocated US$145,000 for the project, including administration and construction management costs; five bids were received for the project in which Sancon’s $78,787 was the lowest.
