Cheyenne’s $1.7m sewer project

The City of Cheyenne Board of Public Utilities have commenced a US$1.7 million sewer rehabilitation project in Cheyenne, Wyoming.

Mechanical Systems Inc have been contracted for the two-phased project, comprising the cleaning and installation a sewer pipe liner in over 1.3 miles (2.1 km) of sewer mains over the next two months.

The project will advance service reliability for the area and is part of the City of Cheyenne Board of Public Utilities’ initiative to accelerate the renewal of sewer infrastructure and reduce stormwater and groundwater leaking into maintenance holes.

The works will occur adjacent to the greenway; however, access will remain open for the duration of the project and sewer services should not be affected.

The first stage of staging the equipment commenced on 30 October 2019.
