Contractors recruiting for rail project

Contractors are looking to mobilise their workforces for construction of the Cross River Rail in Queensland, Australia.

Estimated to take around five years to complete, the project will involve the construction of twin tunnels and four new underground stations for the 10.2 km rail line which will run from Dutton Park to Bowen Hills and include a 5.9 km tunnel under the Brisbane River and Brisbane central business district.

On behalf of the design and construction joint venture (JV) delivering the project, lead construction company CPB is now calling for expressions of interest to work on the project.

The Cross River Rail Is expected to support an average of 1500 jobs per year over the course of construction and will provide the equivalent of at least 450 apprentice and trainee opportunities.
