The Crossing Group progresses water upgrades

Works to improve the water supply and water infrastructure in the district of 100 Mile House, British Columbia are continuing.

Upgrades for 100 Mile House’s water supply have been ongoing for the last couple of years, with The Crossing Group tunnelling a 46 m crossing in the region.

The tunnelling operations are for the installation of a 200 mm PVC water main, which will help with the steady supply of clean water to both residents and businesses in 100 Mile House.

In 2017, as part of its water upgrade works, Bree Contracting was awarded a  CA$3 million (US$3.3 million) contract for the Exter Water System Upgrade project in the district, which involved the construction of a new water treatment plant, site works for a new reservoir and completing associated piping and water works required to transport water from the new wells to the reservoir.

Those works were completed in 2018 and The Crossing Group is now continuing on system upgrades.
