John Mee – Vac Ex has invested £1.2 million (US$1.5 million) in its vacuum excavation fleet, adding three new machines.
The UK-based company has ordered three new DINO12 suction excavation units, which will be manufactured by MTS subsidiary MTS Suction Systems UK.
The vehicles, which are Arocs Suction excavation units, will include the Mercedes AROCS 3251 L ENA 8×4 Tridem Chassis, twin 900 mm diameter fan units, the Mega Boom system, full flat panel sides and a 12 m3 side tipping spoil hopper.
For added operator safety, DINO12 also features the latest pneumatic lid safety cage, full 360° camera coverage to eliminate blind spots, fully Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme – or FORS – accredited equipment and much more.
Once delivered, the Vac Ex fleet will include more than 20 excavators, including the DINO8, DINO10 and DINO12.
Delivery of the order will be completed over the course of 2019, which will allow the company to undertake phased and planned introductions of the new systems into the fleet.
