A vacuum excavation specialist is furthering its technology with the addition of a research and development facility.
Specialist vacuum excavator manufacturer Ring-O-Matic is methodically realigning the company with the best talent and experience in the market under the leadership of CEO Brian Metcalf.
Starting in the role in January 2018, Mr Metcalf has relied on his 24 years’ experience in the industry – including key leadership roles at Vermeer Corporation and his time as HammerHead Trenchless President and CEO – to meet changing contractor expectations and requirements.
As part of refocusing on contractor needs, Mr Metcalf has reinvested in facilities, product research, engineering and talent by adding additional fabrication space and a state-of-the-art research facility on the company’s manufacturing campus in Iowa, US.
“Our customers expect timely delivery of product to allow them to get the job done safely and on time,” he said.
“As a result, we recognised we needed additional assemblers and fabricators to get product out the door on their schedule, not ours.”
A key part of the realignment strategy has been appointing the best people to key roles, including the appointment of Karl Rozeboom as General Manager, bringing 18 years’ experience with Ring-O-Matic, as well as Tony Bokhoven’s as the leader of the company’s Sales, Marketing and Dealer Development division, bringing 20 years of experience in the underground, and municipal market.
“Internationally we will leverage our industry contacts within Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia, while maintaining a dealer presence in Australia and New Zealand,” said Mr Metcalf.
“I am very committed to this company, our team members and our customers worldwide.
“The team we have in place has the knowledge and skill to position us favourably in the market.”
