Geophysical Survey Systems Inc (GSSI) has partnered with a major technology company to increase the durability of its surveying systems.
GSSI partnered with Panasonic to pair an upgraded controller platform – the Toughpad FZ-G1 and Toughpad FZ-M1 tablets – to accompany its latest ground penetrating radar (GPR) systems.
GPR technology is used in tough conditions in across construction sites, public utility work and even search and rescue missions following a natural disaster.
The two new controllers have been designed to ensure GSSI’s technology meets the company’s clients’ needs, as well as preventing the technology falling behind the design cycle and becoming outdated.
A number of features have been incorporated to meet surveying professionals’ needs, including:
- tight seals against airborne dust, concrete cutting particles and water
- durability for rough treatment and being dropped
- high visibility outdoors
- long battery life.
