Ditch Witch has partnered with MetaFLO Technologies as the exclusive provider of its SolidState™ 2 and 6 drilling spoil solidification reagents.
As disposing of liquid spoils created by directional drilling is highly regulated, reagents are used by underground construction contractors to solidify and stabilise drilling fluids to save on time, costs and impact on the environment.
The reagents work by converting liquid spoils into solids in approximately the same amount of time it takes to get to the disposal site; these solids are dry and stackable, simplifying the handling and transport process.
SolidState 2 is used for large volume applications and solidifies in 30 minutes or less, while SolidState 4 is designed for heavier semi-solid waste streams and absorbs quickly to solidify liquids within 10 minutes.
“Our partnership with MetaFLO will allow our customers to easily access products that help dispose of liquid spoils in a safe and efficient way,” said Ditch Witch Vice President of Product Strategy Randy Rupp.
“The SolidState reagents allow for a quicker and less costly way to dump liquid spoils that is beneficial for a wide range of users in a highly regulated industry.”
MetaFLO President and CEO Andrew McNabb said the partnership will create greater convenience for the directional drill users.
“We’re excited to partner with the Ditch Witch organisation to expand our offering throughout their global dealership network and create convenience for our current horizontal directional drill users with one stop for reagents, drills, recycling systems, service and support,” he said.
