In September, Akkerman will celebrate 45 years of providing quality guided boring, microtunnelling, pipe jacking, sliplining and tunnelling equipment to the trenchless industry.
Akkerman has been manufacturing and supporting advanced trenchless applications for the installation of 25 to 4,267 mm diameter pipes since it was established in 1973.
The team is equipped to work in a broad range of ground conditions and project challenges, comprising sales, engineering and technical professionals.
To celebrate the milestone, the company is opening its doors to provide educational sessions, equipment displays, factory tours and entertainment on 18–20 September.
The educational sessions will provide factory certified hands-on equipment training for guided boring methods (GBM), microtunnel boring machines and tunnel boring machine system operation and maintenance, as well as a trenchless technical seminar.
During the event, the company will also reveal what it says is the industry’s first GBM guidance system with data logging capabilities.
