Trenchless Technology experts from around the world will attend Trenchless World Congress in Medellín, Colombia on 25-27 September 2017.
The Congress will be hosted by the Colombian Institute for Subterranean Infrastructure Technologies and Techniques (CISTT), and will feature a variety of educational presentations, short courses and exhibits featuring the latest in Trenchless Technology.
In January 2017, speakers were invited to submit abstracts for papers in areas including: new installations, rehabilitation, replacement, inspection and assessment of underground utilities.
The conference program will include presentations on the latest industry innovations, highlighting case studies from Colombia and surrounding countries.
There are a number of courses available to attendees, including the new installation course, which will cover trenchless construction techniques such as microtunnelling, horizontal directional drilling (HDD), pipe jacking, auger boring and pipe ramming.
The ‘HDD good practices’ course will present a specialised focus that incorporates six key topics that are integral to successful installations: operation and application; equipment and materials; planning for environmental investigations, surveys, machinery, regulations and permits; jobsite safety; and risk reduction.
The final training course focuses on the management of underground asset infrastructure, which has been collaboratively by the Trenchless Technology Institute or Louisiana Tech University and Buried Asset Management Institute – International.
The Trenchless World Congress will feature a full exhibition hall alongside the conference and training courses with a number of companies from South America and around the world displaying the latest tools, equipment and technologies.
