Subsite acquires RTS’ pipeline inspection assets

Subsite Electronics has announced it has acquired the camera inspection assets of RS Technical Services (RTS).

The acquisition will allow Subsite, Charles Machine Works company, to add CCTV remote inspection and monitoring camera capabilities to their range of underground solutions.

RST primarily services customers in the water and wastewater collection and conveyance sector, providing inspection technology for pipelines too small to allow human entry.

Its camera systems feature single conductor technology, which accommodates all power feed and return functions in a single cable; products like this will be still be available through the RST dealer network.

“This acquisition adds a significant offering for lining contractors and municipalities in the rehab and replacement market broadening our solutions in the life cycle of the pipe,” says Charles Machine Works CEO Rick Johnson.

“It will also help support our current HDD customers who are diversifying into areas like cross bore inspection work.”

“Their culture of innovation and customer service is a perfect fit with our own drive to bring customer-driven innovative solutions to the underground construction industry.”
