SIWW extends deadline for Lee Kuan Yew Water Prize

The deadline has been extended for the Lee Kwan Yew Water Prize, which will be presented as part of Singapore International Water Week (SIWW) 2018.

The award recognises contributions to solving the global water challenges by developing or applying innovative technologies, policies or programs.

It will be presented at the SIWW Conference and Exhibition at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore, on 8-12 July 2018.

Nominations for the award will be accepted up until 31 July 2017.

Individuals or organisations can be nominated, provided that they have:

  • made outstanding achievements in a water-related field
  • have demonstrated innovative technologies, policies or programs
  • have had a proven impact or have demonstrated great potential to be a game-changer in the future.

The winner of the award will receive a gold medallion, a certificate recognising their achievement and US$217,203.

The winner will also get the opportunity to share ideas with an international audience of policymakers and industry experts, as well as having the opportunity to speak at the SIWW 2018 Lee Kuan Yew Prize Lecture.

Self-nominations, a nomination by a family member or a nomination made by an individual from the same organisation as the nominee will not be accepted.
