GSSI has updated its BridgeScan™ assessment system for concrete inspection and utility mapping.
The updated version is an affordable and flexible GPR system ideal for assessing the condition of concrete on bridge decks, parking structures and balconies.
The ability to accurately determine the condition of concrete improves repair cost estimation, saving time and money.
BridgeScan allows for the quick and easy identification of the location of rebar, making it excellent for bridge deck condition assessments, determining concrete cover depth on new structures, and concrete inspection, as well as measuring slab thickness, and void detection and location.
Construction professionals, utility locators and engineers can also use the unit as a basis for a utility locating ground-penetrating radar (GPR) system to map and locate underground infrastructure where it can pinpoint the depth and position of metallic and non-metallic pipes in real time.
The update includes the inclusion of the state-of-the-art SIR® 4000 data acquisition system, designed for single-user operation, which incorporates advanced signal processing and display capability for 3D imaging.
The unit features an enhanced 26.4 cm LED display and on-screen post-processing.
It also features a convenient self-contained cart-based design, and also includes a 1600 MHz antenna, a survey cart with encoder wheel, 2 m control cable and a custom transit case for the control unit, AC adapter, and a sunshade.
The system’s cart design and integration with GPS makes it intuitive and easy to use.
