Mini-Cam expands to the Americas
Mini-Cam has appointed its first distributor in Central and South America as part of its global expansion.
Mini-Cam designs, manufactures and distributes pipeline inspection systems from its base in Warrington, UK.
The company has agreed a deal with Mejoras Energeticas, based in Madrid, Spain, which will give it access to the Americas, including Argentina, Mexico, Panama, Costa Rica, Honduras and El Salvador, and gives the company a presence in 40 countries.
Mini-Cam’s crawler push camera systems are utilised in the water and wastewater industries to record and transmit footage during underground surveys, it also supplies the oil and gas, petrochemical, construction and engineering industries.
Mini-Cam International Sales Manager Sven Breitenfeld said “Countries in Central and South America are developing their infrastructure at a rapid rate.
“Their cities are growing fast, and that is leading to increased demand for fresh and clean water and huge investment to improve their sewer networks.
“Alongside that, pollution and water issues are on the wider political agendas in those regions, so it is important for us to have a presence there.
“Mejoras has more than 25 years’ experience of selling sewer-related equipment and cameras. It has a great setup, with teams of product and sales managers and engineers working to deliver the best support to our customers in those countries.
“In addition, Mejoras offers full access to markets in Spain and Portugal for our crawlers and camera systems.
“It is the ideal partner for Mini-Cam as we embark on the next phase of our global expansion.”
Overseas sales account for 48 per cent of Mini-Cams overall revenue, up from 41 per cent in 2015.
