Trenchless Technology announces internship program

The Trenchless Technology Centre at Louisiana Tech University has launched a global internship program for civil engineering and construction engineering technology students.

The internship program is designed to maximise students’ exposure to the underground pipeline industry and consists of three key phases:

  • Phase 1: Students will be assigned field work to increase their exposure to real-world construction projects.
  • Phase 2: Students will be assigned office work to gain knowledge of the administration of construction projects.
  • Phase 3: Students will again be assigned field work and will work under a project manager mentor.

Each phase of the internship has a minimum of 10 weeks work at 40 hours per week.

Industry partners who accept students under the internship program will be supported by the Trenchless Technology Centre (TTC) and will be able to identify and evaluate potential employees early in their education.

The TTC is a cooperative research centre and has been a global leader in underground infrastructure pipeline networks for more than 25 years.

The centre is supported by industry leaders serving on the Industry Advisory Board, which provides the centre with financial support and advice on directions for research, innovation and education.
