The DD1100 HDD machine from American Augers has the pulling capacity of 500 tonnes, doubling the capacity of the next biggest machine in the UAE. Recently ETA-Zenath was awarded a project for the installation of water pressure lines in Abu Dhabi where the DD 1100 will be put to work for the first time. This project consists of three crossings of 34 inch diameter of steel pipes with an average length of 750 metres. The depth will be up to 2 5 metres.

A new project to drill the major gas pipe lines in Dubai was also awarded to the HDD Division which is actively participating in the designing of the crossing. Electrical ducts will be installed under these gas pipe lines and the drilling lengths will vary from 350 – 400 metres.

In India the HDD Division has managed to make inroads by securing the first project for a 100 kilometre drilling job in Bangalore which is becoming a trenchless city, meaning that all major service providers have to use trenchless methods for utilities.
