The China Oil and Gas Pipeline Company has successfully crossed the Changjiang River for construction of the Second West-East Gas Pipeline.
Located between Jiujiang City in Jiangxi Province and Wuxue City in Hubei Province, the crossing had a horizontal crossing span of 2,590 metres.

The works are linked to a larger $US23.3 billion gas pipeline project, which involves the construction of the 8,704 kilometre pipeline that will connect Horgos, located in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region in the far west with the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region in China’s industrial east.
