Mr Brahler is a leading figure within the trenchless industry – named ‘Trenchless Technology Person of the Year’ in 2007 and the current Chairman of the NASTT – and his appointment to the ICUEE signals that the 2011 exhibition may have a trenchless focus.

The biennial exhibition, to be held in October 2011 in Louisville, Kentucky, is geared towards the utility and construction industry, and focuses on the electric, phone and cable, sewer and water, gas, general construction, landscaping and public works sectors.

Mr Brahler, who has been a speaker at previous ICUEE conferences, will be responsible for leading the exhibition’s managing committee, which represents a cross section of industry company executives.

Another upcoming trenchless event is No-Dig 2010, the annual NASTT conference, which will be held in Chicago on 2–7 May and marks the 20th anniversary of the society.
