A new attraction in 2009 will be the Buyer’s Pavilion. The pavilion is designed to enable buyers of water technology and infrastructure – including regional water and public utility agencies – to share their needs with the exhibitors, discuss business opportunities and build relationships.
SIWW delegates and trade visitors to the Water Expo will enjoy free access to the Business Forums. This year North America and North Africa will also be represented at the forum.
SIWW Managing Director Michael Toh said “There has been a great amount of interest in North America and North Africa. With their inclusion, the Business forums now cover a large portion of the world’s key water markets, giving trade visitors firsthand insights into the current needs and opportunities in these markets.”
More than 8,500 delegates and trade visitors from 79 countries gathered at the inaugural Water Week in June 2008, with foreign participants making up 70 per cent of the total attendance. In addition, total deals exceeding $US270 million were sealed during the week.
