Whilst the event is traditionally organised in conjunction with a local Trenchless Technology society, the 2010 show marks a new departure for the ISTT, which is taking the initiative to go it alone in a location that does not yet have a formal society.
Singapore is a regional centre of excellence for Trenchless Technology, established through the major microtunnelling projects undertaken by its national water agency, Public Utilities Board (PUB). The ongoing sewer rehabilitation program continues today, as PUB maintains some 3,200 km of public sewers and the current phase (2009 – 2014) will see the refurbishment of more than 1,000 km of this network.
The ISTT has established links with senior personnel at PUB who have agreed to support the event in 2010. Discussions are also in progress with other relevant government departments, as well as other engineering related organisations, both in Singapore and the surrounding region.
Chairman of the ISTT Dec Downey said “Singapore is a significant location to showcase the very best in Trenchless Technology.

“It is a lively international hub and is also ideally placed to attract engineers from nearby countries where there is considerable interest and growth in infrastructure developments – including Australasia, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Malaysia and Thailand.”
The No-Dig International Exhibition is a well established forum for visitors to meet and review the very latest products and services available for the installation and refurbishment of underground utilities. The 2010 show offers suppliers a brand new opportunity to market products at this highly focused event, targeted to attract visitors from the Asia Pacific region and elsewhere in the world.
The ISTT will also present a top quality international conference featuring a program of papers designed to focus on the latest innovations and techniques. Also included will be case study presentations with a regional flavour.
The ISTT has appointed UK-based Westrade Group Ltd as organisers of International No-Dig 2010. Westrade has wide experience in organising Trenchless Technology events in the UK, Middle East and the Far East – including an event held in Singapore in the mid 1990s.
Full information on exhibiting, as well as presenting papers will be available on the show website
At the recent International No-Dig 2009, held in Toronto Canada, the ISTT board selected Berlin as the location for the 2011 International No-Dig Conference and Exhibition.
The event is to be held on 20-24 June 2011 in conjunction with Wasser Berlin, an extensive specialist event, which typically attracts 30,000 visitors.
