The speaker program for No-Dig Down Under 2011, to be held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, includes international experts Dr Tom Iseley and Dr Samuel Ariaratnam.
The topic and themes of the technical papers incorporate new installations, rehabilitation, replacement, inspection and assessment of all underground utilities including water and wastewater, communications and energy.
ISTT Chairman Dr Ariaratnam is giving the opening address at the conference.
He is joined by keynote speaker Dr Iseley, Professor and Director of Construction Engineering Management Technology (CEMT) IUPUI-Purdue School of Engineering & Technology.

With more than 35 years of experience in the planning, design, and construction of underground infrastructure systems, Dr Iseley is addressing the conference about trenchless solutions for the past, present, future.
A variety of international case studies will be presented along with papers in the areas of new and emerging technology, difficult environments, new issues in design and engineering, water re-use, pipe materials and tunnelling.

Herrenknecht AG Sales Manager Rene von Rautenkranz, who is speaking to delegates about ‘Pipe Thruster applications for the Pipeline Industry’.
Meanwhile, Microlog S.p.A Overseas Tunnelling Manager Cheng Chin Keong, an expert in equipment technologies, construction and management of trenchless projects, is presenting ‘Microtunnelling towards the Atlantic Ocean’.
Expert in subsurface utility engineering Nicholas Zembillas will also share his expertise with his paper ‘Down Under uncovered: new Australia-New Zealand standard for subsurface utility engineering’.
