In the city of Victoria in British Columbia, Canada, the gas tax fund is financing capital projects including the renewal of a sewer system. Focusing on 9 kilometres of sewer sub-catchments in James Bay, the project will employ Trenchless Technology that will reduce costs by 75 per cent in comparison with traditional excavation and replacement methods, and reduces greenhouse gas emissions from construction by up to six times.
