The company was awarded a $US3.6 million contract from the City of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, for the first year of a sewer pipeline rehabilitation project.
The City of Hamilton, which has the option to renew the contract with Insituform for an additional two years, expects to spend approximately $US12 million over the three-year project.
Insituform is expected to complete the rehabilitation work on the wastewater pipelines before the end of 2011.
The company’s Canadian President Ken Foster said “One of the first installations of CIPP in North America took place in Canada in the early 1980s.

“This latest contract award strengthens our position in this area.”
The contract is the fourth consecutive three-year contract awarded to Insituform by the City of Hamilton.
Insituform was also awarded a $US5.5 million contract from the Metropolitan St Louis Sewer District, in Missouri, US.
The company is expected to install approximately 185,000 feet of small to medium diameter CIPP in residential and commercial areas throughout the city.
Work is expected to be completed by May 2012.
