The interest free loan will help Liqui-Force design smaller robotic equipment with a camera to monitor sewer lines for homes without digging up lawns.

“Thanks to this support from FedDev Ontario, we will be able to immediately advance the development of new trenchless, no-dig pipe rehabilitation technology,” said Chairman and CEO of Liqui-Force Kim Lewis.

“These advancements will create jobs and lead to additional cost savings and environmental benefits for the municipalities we service,” Mr Lewis said.

Mr Lewis said using trenchless rehabilitation techniques lowers the cost of major sewer projects by 75 per cent and speeds up the work without interrupting traffic and business.

Liqui-Force provides sewer maintenance and rehabilitation services in Canada and the United States.

The investment is part of the Government of Canada’s Economic Action Plan of nearly $US6.2 million from which thirteen small and medium sized businesses in the Windsor-Essex area of Southern Ontario will benefit.
