Developed by egeplast, the tool calculates the cost efficiency of two separate installation procedures at one time. The calculator can compare seven different procedures against each other, including horizontal directional drilling (HDD), pipe bursting, relining, milling and ploughing procedures and open trench installation with and without sand bed.

As well as assisting project managers select the most cost effective means of pipe installation, the tool also advises the most cost effective route and direction of installation.
