During the 1990s, horizontal directional drilling (HDD) became more popular throughout Europe and ABS Trenchless embarked on designing and manufacturing products for the Trenchless Technology industry.
Through site-based knowledge and experience, the company has designed and developed useful tools and accessories, including the BentoVac systems.
The BentoVac systems can be used to remove liquids for various applications on construction site, where solids-bearing bentonite or polymer slurries are used – for example HDD, piling and tunnelling.
The vacuum suction systems, manufactured by ABS Trenchless, are developed specifically for the foundations and trenchless industries, and are available in various versions. Each version includes:
- Container sizes from 100 L up to 5,000 L
- Fully galvanised containers
- Pressure/vacuum compressors up to 25,000 L/min
- Various compressor drive units (petrol or diesel driven engines, three-phase 380 V, hydraulic and automotive accessory drives) with mobile and static versions
- Trailers with greater ground clearance and adjustable height couplings
- Dependent upon application, various accessories and equipment.
On numerous projects throughout Germany, Revor Reuschenbach-Vorwerk GmbH used the BentoVac system to remove small quantities of benonite resulting from laying pipes with a diameter up to 90 mm.
A spokesperson from the company said “The prices of waste disposal nowadays are so high that it is very economical to use a BentoVac, especially when we deal with smaller diameters.”
The BentoVac system can be used for many different applications, which include:
- Removal of very sandy drilling muds for piling applications
- Suction of residue liquids or emulsions (e.g. recycling companies, environmental protection)
- Removal of liquids with solids/sediments
- Cleaning of drains, sewers, shafts, pits, basins, channels, and tanks
- Emptying of mobile lavatories and sewers.
