Akkerman donated a complete 240A guided boring machine system lease package for use with an auger bore rig for one 300 ft maximum bore, not to exceed one month.

The package includes a 240A jacking frame, universal auger bore rig adapter, power pack, guidance system, 300 ft of pilot tubes, single stage weld-on reaming head and applicable accessories.

Typically, this equipment package would lease for $US42,000 per month. The bidding reserve is set at $US5,000. With the final bid amount donated to the NASTT Educational Fund.

Akkerman VP Sales and Marketing Rob Tumbleson said “While Akkerman has always been a strong supporter of this auction and its mission, we felt that offering this equipment package could make it more feasible for contractors to lease our equipment who would not typically consider this method.”

Since 2002, the NASTT Educational Fund Auction has raised $US356,000, to enhance the educational experiences for its student members by sponsoring their attendance at the Annual No-Dig Conference, as well as membership at large with targeted training courses.
